Another analysis to Turksat3u, from the first day recorded beacon.
In my previous posts I pointed to the overlapping of Turksat's beacon with other signal !
and the source possibility of this signal considered as a failed RS-40 satellite beacon !!!.
Today while I was cleaning the hard disc from large I/Q files,
I replay the TurkSat3U's I/Q file which was recorded on April 26, 2013
Another frequency spectrum analysis shows these features: !
1- The second signal started and stopped with Turksat3u beacon at the same time .
2- A mirror image to some letters, with similarity in the duration and its numbers.
see photo for letters A and N.
3- The other signal was stronger than the Turksat's beacon signal.
4- Both signals had the same amount of fading, this was so obvious before the end of transmission.
and this was clear too at the audio spectrum shot below !
More features to be followed, after more analysis.
For sure the above hypothesis accepted other explanation !
But I'm personally convenes to a certain degree that the 2nd signal source was the Turksat3u itself !!
There are certainly more questions than answers about what happened to Turksat3u!!?
And what was the cause of the abrupt silence ?

Baycom Modem !
A simple modem that functions the same as the classic "dumb" Baycom Modem.
For modulation a monolithic phase-locked loop (PLL) IC xr2211 used.
The demodulation XR-2206 a monolithic function generator was used .
Calibrate the Mark tone 1200Hz at low TXDATA level , and
the space @ 2200Hz at high TXDATA .
Why do I need to build such an old style modem ?
1st because it a piece of the digital communication history .
2nd its a very good demo tool for the digital modulation topics.

NEE-01 Cubesat, TV Camera in Action .
NEE-01 Pegasus (Pegaso) the first HD TV CubeSats built in Ecuador launched on a CZ-2D rocket from the Jiuquan Space Center on Friday, April 26 at 0413 UT.
The 1U CubeSat (10x10x10 cm) was built in Ecuador and carries a 0.9 watt output 720p HD TV transmitter on 910 MHz.
EarthCam has teamed up with the Ecuadorian Civilian Space Agency to deliver what EarthCam describe as an amazing viewing experience from an orbiting satellite. You can view the NEE-01 Pegasus SpaceCam online at http://www.earthcam.com/world/ecuador/ecsa/

CUBEBUG-1 & Soundmodem 2
Three frames decoded from the same CUBEBUG-1 audio file Mario/lu4eou succeed with early .
And again, the packet decoded more easy with Soundmodem @ 44100 RXSR .
Nothing decoded with slower RXSR!.
Obvious!! 44100 gave more decoded rate (at least on CUBEBUG-1 packet!).
On other-hand I've t noticed any super performance with Aenesa sat . !

CUBEBUG-1 & SoundModem
Soundmodem with XRsampleRate 44100 seem works will with CUBEBUG-1
Thanks Mario/ LU4EOU for info and email.

Subject: decoding
Hi all
Using Soundmodem with sample 44100 (from mod INI file, readed at Nader ST2NH blog and mod by Mineo Wakita JE9PEL), 2 packet decoded from Cubebug.

Soundmodem.ini !!
Mineo Wakita /JE9PEL, mentioned a new experiment at his Blog with SoundModem software.
Changing the RX SampleRate at the (soundmodem.ini) file from from 11025 / 22050 / 44100 increase the SoundModem decoding rate(sensitivity .)!!!
The SoundModem program shows up a warning message ,if you try to setup to 44100 limit via
devices--> settings --> setting sound-card window .
But its possible to change the RXSampleRate via the soundmodem.ini file ?!!!
I re did this experiment and yes there is something different!!
I've used the recorded CubeBUG-1 audio file too.
I will give a try with birds , ASAP.

( Translated from Japanese -
Generally, you can change the Soundmodem → Settings → Devices → RX Sample-rate value
Consider the but, for example, when a user tries to enter 22050, to destination (warning) is out Warning
You can not proceed. Directly to the editor SoundModem.ini advocated by JA0CAW Bureau
I did not notice until now that in the rewrite, to the RXsampleRate = 44100.
It is good idea. CalPoly (California Polytechnic State University)
But file CubeBUG-1_CalPoly_30042013_1900-2.wav it receives from CubeBug-1
Using, in the same way as JA0CAW station, I tried to reproduce the experimental catch-up in the local station.
As follows, the difference in decoding rate by SampleRate value is obvious. No matter signal
And if you can even receive any clearly weak, It is can be decoded as this.).
At other experiment post ,with Aenesa satellite decoding Mineo said;
(timestamp was decoding even after satellite LOS.
I wonder if was easy to decode so. RXsampleRate = 44100 will be that paid off.)

The signal was disappeared with satellite LOS!!!.
It looks like some kind of digital Mod!!!.
I'll monitoring this frequency .
